A Homeschool Mom, A Dream, and a Book
The Beginning of Becomingly

Last night something very special happened.
After months of writing, revising, designing, second-guessing, and praying, I received a message that my book had officially been published on Amazon through KDP.
At almost the same moment, I launched the Becomingly website.
It still feels surreal to say that.
I’m not a curriculum writer. I don’t have a degree in education. I’m simply a homeschool mom who has spent years navigating learning differences, special education systems, and the daily realities of raising children who learn differently.
Like many parents in this community, I have often felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of the path forward.
But I also knew something was missing.
There are many financial literacy books for teens, but very few that are written in a way that supports students with dyslexia, reading struggles, or learning differences. I wanted something structured, accessible, and respectful for young people who deserve the chance to learn real-life skills without feeling discouraged by the reading process.
So I started writing.
What began as a simple idea slowly became a workbook — one designed with structured reading passages, clear vocabulary, and real-world financial concepts that young adults can actually apply to their lives.
And now it exists in the world.
This morning I woke up feeling something I don’t think I will ever fully get used to: deep gratitude.
Gratitude for the journey.
Gratitude for the tools that made it possible.
Gratitude for the technology that helped me bring an idea to life.
And above all, gratitude to God for guiding me through moments when I felt broken, tired, and unsure if I could finish what I started.
Becomingly was created from that same place.
It is a space for growth, encouragement, and resources for families navigating learning differences. It’s a place where we can share tools, stories, and support with one another.
This launch is not the end of a project.
It’s the beginning of something bigger.
My hope is that Becomingly becomes a community where parents, educators, and learners can find encouragement, practical tools, and the reminder that learning doesn’t have to look one single way.
Today I’m celebrating a small milestone.
But more importantly, I’m celebrating the possibility of what comes next.
If you’re reading this, thank you for being part of the beginning.
